Lisa Z   is an oil painter currently living and working in Wuhan and Yangzhou, China.

Her works focus on themes of human environments and landscapes, often depicting the residential streets of Yangzhou and Wuhan, where she lives, as well as the bustling crowds on subways and buses. Her familiarity with and interest in these everyday streetscapes, with their hidden shapes, patterns, and colors, constitutes a constant source of inspiration. A constant pursuit of honesty and simplicity permeates her work, both in its subject matter and in its expression. Although she resides in China, her work is held in numerous significant private collections worldwide, from the United States to Canada.
